Summary

The Amorcriolo Scholarship Fund (ASC) was founded on the belief that the Cape Verdean community is a family, and each member, whether individual, business or organization, shoulders responsibility to help the community thrive to its full potential. When communities across the country are strengthened our nation as a whole flourishes.

The Amorcriolo Scholarship Fund is the product of a dedicated group of Cape Verdean businessmen/women and college alumni's who were inspired to respond to the alarming growth in the number of talented Cape Verdean students who could not afford a college education. This call to action was precipitated by compelling stories in which students described their disillusionment in seeking financial aid from different sources in an attempt to pay for college. Several concerned members of the Cape Verdean community have responded by offering to help support the creation of the Amorcriolo Scholarship Fund.

Mission

The Amorcriolo Scholarship Fund, Inc. (ASF) is a private non-profit organization founded in 2004 to develop the next generation of Cape Verdean business leaders and professionals in America by awarding scholarships to deserving Cape Verdean students. ASF accomplishes its mission by securing the funds needed to award financial assistance to students seeking to afford a higher education in academic disciplines leading to careers in business, arts, and information technology.

Leadership

The Amorcriolo Scholarship Fund is proud of its commitment to higher education. The Board of Trustees is comprised of successful business, college alumni's, teachers who contribute skills, experience, perspective, wisdom, and valuable time to the organization.
